BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1996 by a visionary educator, La Trinidad Academy (LTA) has become a landmark in the field of basic education in Imus City. Driven by its child-centric values, the institution continuously exemplifies its most fundamental philosophy: to mold and form the child in all aspects of development – physical, intellectual, social, moral, and spiritual.

The institution also maximizes the fullest potential of its learners by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to meet the demands of the fast-changing world by aligning the LTA curriculum to the 21st-century learning paradigms with emphasis on English, Mathematics, Science, and Character Development.

Sir Pedro B. Trinidad
School Founder

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Fueled by the passion for bringing quality education closer to the youth, the late Pedro Trinidad was a driven educator that brought his innovative ideas to establish La Trinidad Academy and manage the institution throughout his waking life, that made it one of the renowned private schools in Imus City.

However, unbeknownst to many, he started in a simple and humble environment, only equipped with his guiding principle to make quality education accessible to more people. Before establishing LTA in 1996, he served the academe for almost forty years. He rose from the ranks as a classroom teacher to a Regional Director of the Department of Education (DepEd) for four regions in the country.

Being the inspiring educator he was, his friends and colleagues from DepEd, who believed in his skills as an educator and administrator, drove him to concretize his vision and further establish LTA. Alongside his wife, Asuncion Trinidad, they poured their heart and soul into the institution. Leaning upon their experiences as educators, managers, and leaders, they nurtured their newest endeavor. They had a direct hand in the everyday decisions of LTA – recruitment, training, supervision, and problem-solving.

The founder had an aversion to idleness and had developed a strong work ethic over the years. He was uncompromising when it came to the quality of the institution. He refused to slow down to enjoy his retirement. His love for work and decades of experience have always pushed him to go further. On June 26, 2015, Pedro Trinidad left the world and the school he founded, but his legacy of education continues to this day.

LA TRINIDAD ACADEMY
PHILOSOPHIES

The education of the child is the primordial duty and concern of parents. The school assists parents in the fulfillment of this obligation.
The teachers are surrogate parents. They take over the role of parents when the child is in school.
For education to be meaningful and effective, the home and the school should collaborate and work closely. The training in the home and the education in the school should complement and reinforce.
Parents should be acquainted with the rules and regulations of the school. They should abide and cooperate with LTA in the full implementation and attainment of these policies.
Parents and teachers should confer with one another periodically regarding the child’s performance.
The school should provide the best possible facilities and environment to enhance the child’s learning.
The curriculum should be rich in meaningful experiences for the maximum and holistic development of the child.
Communication, Science, and Technology define the needs and demands of the 21st century. As such, the LTA curriculum gives emphasis on English, Math, Science, and Technology.
English is the international language for communication, research, diplomacy, and commerce. Accordingly, LTA provides varied opportunities for the child to learn and use English. They are encouraged to speak English while in the premises of the school.
The school is the best place to internalize values outside of the home.
